We determine and understand brand strategies and incentives via brand managers then work with both TV and Film departments to determine relevant opportunities so we can deliver the best possible placements/integrations to you.
Aside from presenting all TV and Feature Film opportunities, Pier
3 Entertainment provides an internal brand website for each of our clients. This is where we post screen captures and video clips of all TV and Feature Film placements/integrations and a list of the top 10 Feature Films in pre-production that is updated monthly. We also provide TV Pilot lists, status reports, PDFs that showcase individual placements and edited video reels that highlight all of the placements that we have done you!

One of the things that sets Pier 3 apart from our competitors is that we formed a strategic partnership with Starcom MediaVest’s Entertainment Division, Recently Renamed “The Bridge”, back in 2007 to offer clients Global Opportunities. |
| TELEVISION |
|
Pier
3 Entertainment maintains a working relationship with over 150 current network,
syndicated and cable series and made for television movies. We are familiar with
the sets, characters and are in constant touch with productions regarding storylines.
Our relationship with production personnel (producers, prop masters, set decorators,
costume designers, transportation and actors) is so strong that in addition to
calling us for product listed on our client list, they also frequently call for
our assistance in obtaining unlisted product, and are open to working in
product where available at our request. Maintaining
these relationships with frequent set visits and contact gives us the opportunity
to identify and create the best possible exposure opportunities for our clients.
It also assists us in protecting our clients from scripted negative
use and references.
We work diligently through the pilot season,
which many agencies do not. We have found that assisting productions with pilots
puts our clients in first consideration with a show when it is picked up. (Pilots
such as HBOs THE SOPRANOS, and WBs DAWSONS CREEK, proved
this case. Our clients products were featured in the first episodes of these
hits, and they continue to get first consideration).
When
available, we obtain production stills from the sets as proof of placement, and,
provide clients with video clips and video grabs from the broadcast. A quarterly
exposure report is provided listing placements, the grade of the exposure and
Nielsen Rating. The report includes a list of all shows with the clients
product.

FEATURE
FILMS |
We
are well established with all major and minor studios working with both their
Production Resource and Promotion departments. Once a project is greenlit,
the script is forwarded to Pier 3 for breakdown. A proposal of appropriate clients
is then submitted, with specific placement recommendations. The proposal includes
both obvious and not-so-obvious placement suggestions. From this point, we work
closely with both the studio and production personnel to incorporate our clients
brands appropriately into the project.
When
the product is a good fit and production has indicated interest, a POV is submitted
to the client for review. This form covers production information (studio, cast,
director, producers, locations, film dates), synopsis, placement opportunity,
product requested, and all pertinent information. With client approval, we proceed.
Product Releases are issued with the product. The release indicates the value
of the product, return requirements, and placement conditions. Should a product
with required return
become lost or damaged, we work with the client to invoice the production for
reimbursement. For items of higher value, we require Certificates of Insurance
from the production.
We
negotiate the best possible deals with the studios and productions for coveted
and competing placements. We identify promotional tie-in opportunities before
the first frame of film has been exposed, to ensure the best possible inclusion
in the film for our clients.

INDEPENDENT
FILMS |
Pier
3 Entertainment is known to the Independent Film community as a supporter. Many
independents that we work with are either picked up by a major distributor prior
to completion, or enjoy successful runs on the festival circuit. This includes
both feature and short length films. By working with the independent filmmakers,
Pier 3s clients are viewed in a favorable light by tomorrows Spielbergs.
They remember who was there for them prior to their $100 million blockbusters.
In addition, independent films are increasingly entering the mainstream marketplace,
earning bigger accolades and public and industry recognition. We work with our
clients on these films in the exact same manner as studio features. Again, product
is never placed without prior client consent. |
| COMMERCIALS |
| This
is not an area that we actively pursue. We do on occasion receive calls from commercial
productions asking for our clients inclusion in their clients television
spots. However, Pier 3 believes that this work is better left to our clients advertising
agencies. |
| CAUSE MARKETING |
| Pier
3 Entertainment works
with various charitable organizations on a gratis basis. THE SALVATION ARMY, THE DOUG FLUTIE JR FOUNDATION for AUTISM and TEAM CAN (which is Anthony
Edwards' CURE AUTISMN NOW FOUNDATION) have
received great public awarness through Pier 3's efforts. We constructed a hi visibility signage campaign with AOL to bring about national awareness
to the AMBER ALERT FOUNDATION. Pier 3 also works with Fender Guitars and their Kids Rock Free program by gettting their guitars autographed by celebrities and auctioned off at charitable events. |
EVENT MARKETING |

3 Entertainment also provides opportunities for your brand to sponsor Hollywood's biggest events such as Feature Film Premieres, TV and Feature Film Premiere Parties, Award Shows, Music Events, etc. |
| VIDEO GAME INTEGRATION |
| There are multiple ways to integrate your brand into video games: Billboarding, signage, background props, interactive integrations involving gameplay, i.e. player can choose between products so that brand becomes part of storyline, etc. |
| MUSIC PARTNERSHIPS |
| Pier 3 has established strategic working relationships with Sony Legacy Records and Virgin Records. As a partner, Pier 3 will strive to bring the following opportunities to the record labels: 1. Television and movie placement and integration whereby the music, merchandising and artists will be featured as set dressing or as part of a storyline. 2. Help with licensing opportunities pertaining to soundtracks and music beds for the individual episodes. 3. Create artist specific promotional campaigns while partnering with other internal P3 clients for maximum exposure on all ends. 4. Bringing current clients together with artists for endorsements, tour support and other event based opportunities. |
